Brian Austin Green talks about
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, the new
90210, fatherhood, and being more than David Silver.
Does your son watch bits and pieces of the show? We’re always blowing things up… Shooting big guns, he likes all that. He’s a guy’s guy … He’s six. No, I haven’t shown him the [Terminator] films yet. He’s a huge Star Wars fan. He knows everything about all six movies. And then from there, he’s kind of finding the Indiana Jones movies a little bit. He’s picked up with this show. It’s tough – I can’t let him watch everything. It’s a little much for him. What can we expect for your character?More of the same thing. He’s an oddity. He’s an interesting character … You’ll see. There are a few more actors coming on board this season, how does that affect the dynamic?I think it’s given us a little more time. Last season, by the end we were really doing everything. And it became a lot of work, a lot of story to tell. So they have the opportunity to have separate things happen which is good – it gives us some breathing room.
What do you like to watch on television?Honestly, I watch a lot of TLC and Discovery Channel and Planet Green. Were you ever a Sci-Fi fan?
I grew up with Star Wars. Same as my son.
How does it feel to no longer be associated and type cast as 90210’s David Silver? It’s nice that I’m being accepted in something else. Yeah.
Do you have any interest in appearing on the CW’s new 90210 series?I have no plans as of now. They haven’t even approached me. I don’t know. It depends. It would depend on schedule and time. What was your initial reaction to the new 90210?It’s a brilliant idea. I think everybody in the world is going to tune into see the first one.
Do you think it will be good?Maybe. It would be interesting. I want to see if they use the old theme song. Yeah, from the promos it sounds like they are. We’ll see. We’ll see how it is. You never know.
